Cafe Nero - Carmarthenshire

I have never been to this restaurant before and I will not be returning. My family and I stopped in for coffee and chose a window seat. I quickly noticed that every table was dirty with cups and plates piling up. It seemed like they had just come out of a busy morning rush and hadn't had time to clean up. This wasn't a big issue until I sat down and realized how dirty the chairs were. The fabric chairs had crusty, caked-on dirt on the arms and crumbs around the cushions. It was clear that this place had not been cleaned properly in a long time. After a quick look around, we decided to leave without ordering food or drinks. The overall cleanliness of the restaurant was unacceptable and we were glad to find a charming independent coffee shop nearby instead.

I am consistently impressed by the warmth and kindness of the staff at this restaurant. Despite facing serious health challenges this year, the Manager Ben went out of his way to check in on me during his break on Saturday. It is reassuring to know that the staff genuinely care about their regular customers, although they treat all patrons with the same level of care and respect.

Excellent place and coffee is best around. Always found staff helpful and is run efficiently. We'll done to manager and his staff, keep up the good work.

Visited today with my family and whilst queuing with my mum, I over heard a member of staff speak poorly to a colleague of his. Speaking about tables needing clearing and how all tables needed rewiping but all while saying this, the man went off and spoke to other costumers instead of helping his coworkers during the busy lunchtime period. My father who was sat at a table waiting for my mum and myself, over heard the man talking to a customer about how he does everything and bigging himself up on general, which is complete wrong considering the trash and despicable man didn’t help ANY of his colleagues who were all very busy working hard. So DAN, be nice to your colleagues and never speak badly towards them in front of customers!!! The other members of the team on shift today were so lovely and shout out to the blonde trainee guy, you were very polite and friendly!

An elderly gentleman ordered his drinks and was dismissed for the next customer. It took another customer unrelated to get up from where they were sitting to carry his tray for him. Shame the staff can’t take enough time to read the situation instead.
