The ginger cake was the best I've eaten in years and the slice of coffee cake was huge. The staff are super friendly and knowledgeable and it's clearly a hit with locals who too were chatty without being intrusive. We ended up leaving with some fabulous homemade pies (I would call them small quiches) which were delicious. Can't wait to pop in again.
Excellent fresh home cooked tapas food. Wonderful Friday night experience eating fresh tapas at the ferryman’s. Usually visit for the best coffee and cake in Laugharne but had the privilege to experience a tapas night. Delicious authentic tapas food cooked to perfection accompanied by very well priced Rioja from their store. Book in for Friday tapas or simply enjoy lunch , coffee or cakes. Highly recommended
Visited Laugharne on way back to Essex after a holiday in St. Florence (at the amazing Fiddlers Green Cottage! . Was directed to this little gem where we received a friendly welcome and had good coffee and tea and very good cakes the best chocolate brownie ever had, was the verdict. The deli is well stocked and apparently well used by locals. Wish we had time to stay for lunch as the menu looked delicious maybe next time!
After reading reviews from others, myself and some friends decided to stop at The Ferryman for lunch on our way back from a weekend in West Wales. I cannot stress enough how impressed we were with the food! Two of us ordered the Caribbean curry while the other two had the Lentil soup. We all couldn't stop talking about how delicious and high-quality the meals were. The staff was also very accommodating and friendly. We will definitely be returning to The Ferryman next time we are in the vicinity of Laugharne to try more of their menu.
This cafe and deli was absolutely fantastic. We enjoyed delicious coffee and cakes, including a vegan lemon drizzle for my lactose intolerant son. Everything was homemade, generously portioned, and top-notch quality. The coffee was rich and flavorful. We opted to forego a restaurant meal and instead indulged in tapas from the deli, eating like royalty for a fraction of the cost. My son especially enjoyed the fresh tomatoes, aged cheese, and chorizo. I highly recommend this place.
