There was no food available, not even a simple breakfast, and there was no nearby accommodation in the surrounding villages. The information on Booking.com was outdated, and they even had the wrong phone number listed. We cannot comment on the rooms as we never got the chance to stay, but they appeared to be very outdated. Due to these circumstances, we cannot recommend The Red Lion Llangadog. It was a significant family event that we cannot redo.
We had a wonderful experience at this charming pub. The Manager, Lianne, greeted us with a big smile and even gave us a bottle of champagne to celebrate our engagement. The room was spacious and had a vintage charm, with a beautiful bathtub and shower. The bed was incredibly comfortable. The food at the bar was delicious, and the jukebox played great music. This is the perfect place to stay after enjoying scenic walks in the area. We look forward to visiting again in the summer.
The hotel was good and the restaurant was nice, but the bed mattress could use replacing. The bar and restaurant could also use better furniture. Despite these issues, the cost for a two-day stay was reasonable.
There was 20+ of us in a group booking. We preordered our food, and on arrival our food was all served together. Excellent service. I had the Gourmet Beet Burger £12.95. Great meal. Good portion. They also serve a decent pint. Diolch.
We stayed here for a one night stay. The staff are really welcoming, however the room wasn’t that great. The shower basin filled with water when using it. I was only in there for 2 minutes and it was enough to cover my whole foot. There was dust everywhere. The room was so dark which I guess is kind of the theme, but they weren’t very relaxing. The bed sheets were at least clean. I wouldn’t stay here again.
