Alfano's Pizza - Carthage

A few friends and i lunch here. We drive from quincy and every so often we bring along new friends to enjoy the food as much as i have over the years. This time we brought 2 ladies that had never been before and they both enjoyed the food as well.

A hidden gem on the square in Carthage, IL. Authentic Italian/Sicilian dishes in beautifully-decorated spaces. Super friendly staff, quick service and delicious entree's. Kudos to the staff and owners.

Stopped here by chance today. Had the their fabulous bruschetta appetizer with very fresh tomato and very good on-prem baked bread! People! Fresh tomatoes and on-prem fresh bread! Took home some of their Tiramisu. Best I ever had.Going back tomorrow for dinner.

Pizza was great, not superb, but reallly good. Service was incredible. We had a large group of 52 people. All the hostesses and helpers were amazing. Friendly, efficient, helpful and kind.Thank you so much for taking care of us. It was a very nice experience.

Our situation was unique as we had 50 people in our group. Our pizza was served buffet-style and honestly I wasn't expecting much. I was pleasantly surprised. Each pizza variety was really good. Good crust and not at all skimpy on the cheese or toppings. I particularly liked the Chicken Bacon Ranch. The Taco Pizza was new to me and was surprisingly good too. Try it! We will go back next time we are in town.
