Phong Lan Vietnamese - Cedar Rapids

I love this place!  Informal, inexpensive, good service, good food!  My #1 quick lunch go-to place!  I usually get the spicy beef with lemongrass, but there are lots of good choices.  Family run.

The best beef Pho I've ever had! I was traveling and decided to stop in Cedar Point. Tired of fast food, I wanted a healthier and more authentic option. Phone Lan had exactly what I was looking for! If you like Vietnamese food, you will LOVE this place and their friendly staff!!!

Family operated Viet resto, good service. Viet restaurants across North American have a relatively standard menu: soup (pho , rice with grilled meats or vermicelli. In Cedar Rapid, Phong Lan did nothing to dispel that pattern. The cooking was competent, and the prices are low. <br/ <br/ The restaurant is more fun on the interior than the blocky exterior would suggest. There's lots of space for large groups, and the ones that were there around 6 p.m. were having a good time. My friend and I were entertained by the daughter (8 years old? who was spinning around dancing with an umbrella. There's a wall of photographs of her we guess it's a single child family behind the cash register. <br/ <br/ Coming to Cedar Rapids, I was surprised to have the option of choosing a Viet restaurant. We really didn't want to have the corn fed beef native to Iowa that night.

Love it!. Love this place! Very nice and the pho and spring rolls are delicious! I always stop here when I'm in the area.
