They work so well with their team and welcome customers as old friends. The food is soooo good with Delphine cooking and Sebastian monitors the bar and... dining room. The menu du jour is always so good value, so well cooked with a variety of choices there is the cart as well as if you want something else) always delicious. It's always our first choice. We love it.
This is a great, affordable restaurant. The service was great and the food was both well cooked and high quality. Very recommended
After we went to this restaurant for many years, but always for lunch; at the behest of a dear friend, we finally decided to go for a dinner. In fact, we were not disappointed in many other aspects when we could reasonably expect. The staff... here are ALWAYS exceptional, such plugs and attentive, but not intrusive. This is important to me, the staff can ruin your experience if they are not in place. On our evening the young lady who visited us was more than an exception!!! I was supported by someone SOOO who made sure we had a pleasant evening. If I had only asked her name!!! But I didn't want to be forward. Now for dinner. We have not always left this restaurant with satisfaction, although overall, standards are usually very satisfactory. However, tonight we found that the Fayre was exceptional in ALL respect, choice, presentation, quantity and above all taste. FULL marks. My wife had the fish and allowed me a taste and I can assure you that it was the best I ever tasted. Despite the quality of my choice, I wish I had chosen the fish!!! Thank you for a great evening, backroom staff. Please maintain this high standard.
Although we live near to Chabanais, this is the first time we have eaten here. We had booked a table and it was clear that this was very necessary, Covid-19 or not. The three of us had the plat du jour and the price, which...includes a 1/4 litre of wine of one's choice (colour! , was only €14 for four courses. On the day, the main dish (plat was some excellent beef in a simple sauce with a large boiled potato or, for an extra €1, chips could be had. The service was extremely quick, with the host/owner taking orders electronically on his device and transmitting all this to the waiting staff. So, in summary, relatively simple food, well prepared and cooked and great value for money. We shall return.
Went yesterday and had the fixed menu. Place was heaving and thankfully we had booked as my mother now lives here and knows how busy it gets.... story does that they used to have competition with another place over the road which has shut so...this place has got the run now!So .... Fairly standard french buffet salad starter which you help yourself too... the rillettes was to die for. So the set menu had either salmon or a cabbage and meat dish. Chips (again to die for) were and extra €1 so we all went with that. I went for the cabbage which on appearances was dubious..but never judge a book by its cover. The cabbage came with pork (when I asked what meat I was simply told meat) and it tasted divine. Well seasoned and superbly tasty! Whomever made that knew what they were doing! Looking around a lot of the locals were also eating that. Next came out a plate of cheese for you to cut and help yourself to... then a plate of puddings to choose from. Then coffee! Amazing value. Would gladly return
