It doesn’t profess to be ‘fine dining’ but the portions are big, the prices reasonable and the plates and crockery are clean! We liked the double cheese burger and chips (although the fish snd chips were also good). The rump steak was passable. I wouldn’t recommend eating inside as it’s a bit dark and depressing. The front terrace seemed to be where all the action takes place. It was slightly spoiled on two nights by a small groups (of Brits I am ashamed to say) who were loud and swearing having had too much to drink. Different group each night. It was just noise and high sports but they were both a bit over familiar with the waitress on one evening and I could see other customers felt uncomfortable as they were talking quite explicitly about sex and swearing a lot. The lad who served us was polite and attentive in fact they all were. The owner is also the chef and he comes out regularly for a chat. The place was not busy at all which is a shame. The prices are reasonable and we had no complaints. We recommend the double cheese burger and chips and a bottle of house white (nice wine).
We walked a part of the Vezelay route from Limoge and had an overnight stop at David’s hotel. We had a wonderful stay and the dinner (fish chicken respectively) was superb. Sitting outside to have some wine and dinner was special.
Terrible waitress service, our first visit as we have just moved to the area and was treated like second class citizens won't be going again
From the outside its simple looking and the menu is also simple. However, the price quality comparison is super, portions are more than adequate and overall we were very satisfied.
We had a good lunch. People are very friendly. Prices are really great. We recommend meat. Pure limousin beef!
