The Harvard Inn - Chelmsford

Great place. Rooms are well appointed & clean. Friendly staff. Great English breakfast. The General Manager stayed late for us. Easy parking. Highly recommend.

We booked the Harvard Inn for two nights and it was a wonderful stay. The Grade 2 building was well decorated with modern touches whilst maintaining the historic features. The rooms were very clean and well stocked with beverages and clean towels. The breakfasts were delicious and the evening menu looked amazing too. The staff were extremely polite and helpful to the point that we left something behind and following a quick phone call, it was posted out in a very well wrapped box and received within a few days. Would definitely recommend.

Beautifully restored historical hotel dating back to 15th century with original beams throughout. Quaint and charming with lovely rooms. Ours, room 1 had a modern refurbished bathroom and was a lovely size equipped with day bed, king beds, dressing table, drawers and wardrobe with ample space. Breakfast must not be missed, this is one of the best places to eat in the village with a reputation for perfect Sunday roasts. Our cooked breakfasts were delicious with lots of choice from full English, eggs royale, vegan and vegetarian options plus cereals, yogurt and granary. Decent sized car park and there are some converted barn rooms that I believe are wheelchair accessible. Lovely friendly staff. Highly recommend.
