So far, we have tried the “Breads and Falafels” pita bread, zaatar bread, falafel with pickle, harissa vegetable, hummus, red chilli sauce, parsley coriander sauce and tahini , “Pita Pocket” pita filled with a colourful mix of falafel, hummus, tahini, pickled turnip, fried brinjal, salad, jalapeños, paprika and gherkins , and sides of more pita and falafel (we were hungry after a 6 hour train journey from Bangalore! The falafel are the best we have had in ages! We also tried the Date Juice, which is delicious date juice blended with almonds and the cardamom flavoured Turkish Coffee. The venue itself is fresh and beautifully designed, and the owner and people working here are so friendly and clearly passionate about this place! Highly recommended!
We have ordered several times by tamu tamu (chennais first 100% vegan restaurant) and their food and service has never impressed us. must try their Lebanese meal box and pita bags. burns with her heavenly hummus gown in every bite (the best hummus in the city). oh and her zaatar pita is simply amazing! also such generous portion sizes for nominal costs. healthy 100% vegetable food is best.
This place found happy cow. delicious little gem behind the Ganesha temple on the main street. they love branding and design aesthetics. menu was simple and focused on the near east clips of pita, hummus and falafels! the falafel pita was authentic and I loved the falafel toppings (gherkins, paved radishes, grilled aubergine, etc).
This is chennais first fully vegan kitchen, and it is fabulous. newly opened, this is a beautiful room that is led by a very friendly team. the falafel are so good if not better than all we had in the world, and the presentation of the food is amazing. we enjoyed everything we ate and will definitely be back. as an additional bonus, this location also offers a good value for money.
