Amdavadi has a pretty decent menu and good food. I like that Chennai has an exclusive gujju restaurant. We ordered a few take-outs during lockdown and noticed that they charge Rs. 10 for every item to be packed. What’s confusing is why they do not provide cutlery with take-out if they’re going to charge me anyway. We ordered take-out for the family on a long drive home and we were forced to eat everything (including bhel and shrikhand) with our hands and not have any napkins either. We paid Rs. 80 in packaging and struggled to find spoons/forks/napkins during a lockdown.
Food here has authentic Gujarati taste. Service is prompt and staff is very courteous. The place is quiet and has cozy ambience.
A decent place offering a decent Gujju food. Since I was staying by in a nearby hotel and saw this place I just jumped on to the idea of having my dinnwr here. I preferred to have their day's Thali . The line up had palak muthiya (okay okay) sone mohare (onion filling potli deep fried) rotli puri, vatana gobi, bateta nu rassa varu sak , quiet essential sweet dal, shrikhand, kachumbar, papad and mint chaas. I was craving for sev tamatar, maybe next time.... with some other snacks to try out with their evening combo.
Stepped into Amdavadi for evening snacks. A very nice ambience and pleasing staff too. Had Samosa, Jalebi and Masala tea. All tasted good. Must try their thaali some other time.
