Chaa Ba Thai Cafe - Chermside West

I judge a good Thai restaurant by its Massaman Beef curry.... This place was exceptional. The best in Brisbane I have found. It's on par with my favourite in Perth. Big chunks of beef with good flavour that fall apart. Highly recommend. This place is my new go too for Thai food :-)

We went here for the first time last Friday night. We were a party of 10. We found the food to be outstanding, one of the best Thai Restaurants in Brisbane. We shared an assortment of entrees which were all fabulous. For mains we chose 11 dishes to share and we were not disappointed. Not one dish was disappointing and my favourite was the crispy pork belly. The menu is quite extensive for a small restaurant and food is served in very good time. It is recommended to book ahead as this treasure has been discovered by all the locals now. We have been to Thailand several times and this food is right up there with the best food experiences we had there as well. The restaurant is BYO and there is ample parking and very reasonably priced. It was so good my husband and I returned again on Saturday night, also wonderful. So look forward to our next experience.

Arrived back from a long drive and did not feel like cooking. Called in without a booking and what a surprise, great food with special mention to the best roast duck I have had in Australia, absolutely awesome. I also thought the cucumber salad was fabulous. At a time when we have an over supply of thai restaurants here in Brisbane this one stands out from the rest. Only a small restaurant with limited seating and moderate decor, however, produces the goods.

We eat here regularly. It was very busy on Friday night but we didnt have to wait too long for our food and as always it was really good. We tried coconut prawns for entree, king prawns ginger and mushrooms stir fry, yellow chicken curry and salt

Chaa-Baa is a great little restaurant in West Chermside. Plenty of parking just outside and fantastic food. The entrees were hot and the main meals were brought out one by one .... The only way to have fresh hot food! The duck tamarind and the steamed ginger fish were exceptional. Well done Chaa-Baa! Very busy on this Friday night so maybe book ahead as we did to get a table outside.
