The crispy roll was just a standard egg/spring roll—nothing noteworthy. The menu mentioned that the soup was spicy, so I asked the waitress how spicy it was. She reassured me that it wasn't too spicy, so I decided to give it a go. After just two spoonfuls, my mouth was on fire, and I was nearly in tears. Obviously, I couldn't finish it. A woman who seemed to be the owner or manager offered me a different option, and I chose the shrimp wonton soup, which was not listed as spicy. Unfortunately, this soup also had hints of red pepper. When my entrée arrived, it included four medium-sized grilled shrimp and about a cup of rather bland rice, all served on a thin slice of grilled pineapple. To top it off, the plate was decorated with yet more red pepper sauce! My husband, who generally enjoys spicy food, couldn't finish the spicy seafood dish he had ordered either. To compensate, they eventually brought him a plate of chicken pad Thai. The green tea ice cream we ordered came filled with ice crystals, leading me to believe that it had been thawed and refrozen. Additionally, the service was lacking. Despite there being only 4 or 5 tables occupied, there was only one waitress and one helper available. There were long waits between courses and zero communication about my soup swap. Ultimately, this meal was not worth the $35 per person fee. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to anyone, and I have no plans to return.
