The content is ruined because it is drowned out by overusing something that should have been used sparingly. That is the best analogy I have for this restaurant. My wife and I showed up at 7:15pm on a Friday night after deciding against another restaurant due to the crowd of people waiting for a table. When we arrived at The Mandarin, this restaurant had no wait and no crowd. Now, I know why.Eating the Ma Pao Tofu felt less like eating and more like stabbing myself in the gums with a steak knife. Look, I understand a lot of Asian foods are spicy. That's fine. But this was barely food. It was just a large puddle of hot oil with some tofu in it.If that sounds appetizing to you, then by all means give them a shot!
The Mandarin has a diverse menu of delicious Chinese dishes with excellent customer service.
Went for Lunar New Year and staff was super friendly in suggesting dishes from the menu that I haven't tried before. All of them were awesome including a hot pot and a sweet desert soup. Besides, the eggplant in spicy garlic sauce and sauted wide noodles with seafood were some of the best I've ever had.
Zero customer service. The waiter never came back after bringing only half our meal. No one checked on us, but the table next to us got 5 star service. Never felt so disrespected in a restaurant.
Large serving portions! place was pretty empty throughout meal service ~6pm), however service was great, with frequent water refills throughout packing of our leftovers all the dishes we had were really nice. particularly like, the special taro duck item we got. never had anything like it, so highly recommend. would recommend this place to others.
