Fin Friends.family - Chiang Rai

The people here are the absolute sweetest ever. I made it my routine to go here for a drink every morning and was never disappointed. So far I've tried the strawberry smoothie, cappucino (iced and hot), and the thai tea (without condensed milk) — all can be made with soy- or almond milk for an extra 15 baht. I love it here, it's so cozy and it has made me feel like home on this part of my trip. So thankful! Not to be missed: the second hand clothing collection just around the corner, sold by the same people! So nice.

We went to coffee because it was almost the only café with non-dairy milk. Coffee was good mango smoothie too. Not a place to spend a lot of time, but we had a nice seat on the bench in front of the café.

I made a mistake by going to a non-vegan restaurant, breaking my own rule. I was in Chiang Rai and couldn't find any vegan options for coffee, so I decided to give this place a try. I asked the staff if they had soy milk and they said they did. I ordered a soy flat white but realized I should have asked about the brand of soy milk, as not all are vegan. Turns out they used cow's milk in my coffee. I cancelled my order and left.

We decided to stop by this cafe for coffee because it was one of the few places that offered non-dairy milk. The coffee was delicious, and we also enjoyed the mango smoothie. Although it's not a place to linger for a long time, we found a comfortable spot on the bench outside the cafe.
