Awash Ethiopian - Chicago

The atmosphere is pleasant. The food was okay. I was not too fond of the sour taste of the injera. The Chicken Sambusa was great. I would recommend trying the sambusas. We also ordered the veggie combo and doro wat. Some of the veggie options were really good. The doro wat was okay. The amount of meat was less compared to the price.

Enjoyed lunch with friends today at Awash! We shared the delicious Vegetarian Platter. Everything was so flavorful, great variety, many different spices to enjoy!! I really wish I tried the samosa and should have ordered the sweet peas to go!!! Beautiful, big room, pleasant, calm decor. The service was kind and observant! Love that this is woman owned! I will definitely be back!!

Beware if you decide to leave and eat somewhere else and pay for their inconvenience but leave your car parked they will tow it immediately

Food quality has gone down and service was not the best. I'm not sure if they changed the cook because I ate here before and it was much better then I'm Ethiopian. I was so embarrassed bc I brought guests, and even the Americans didn't think the food was any good. And, I also feel we were over charged. We ordered for two and the food was very little. Definitely not a plate for 3. Please don't waste your Go down the street to Ethiopian Diamond
