Porta Maggiore - Chios

Pleasant meal in a relaxed environment. we found this restaurant by chance around the corner from where we lived in the remains of the old Ottoman part of chios. it looked so pleasant that we decided to eat there at lunchtime instead of in one of the restaurants along the seafront where we were. we were glad that we did it, because not only the food was excellent, but also the music was good. we were not so hungry, so we only had sousoukakia meatballs and a tomato and gurkensalat. both were delicious. the portions were great and we could not eat anymore. I asked for a Greek coffee and it was served with a glass mastix on the house. it was a nice note. as the music was so cool relaxed jazz, we sat in the restaurant for a small past after the meal and chat with the owner and the waitress. both very pleasant people. we will return safely there.
