Le Cafe Du Jardin

Standard British cafe serving standard British fare. Got a cheese omelette with chips and it was a generous portion. Good value for money and you won't complain about the portion sizes. Not the most hygienic place in the world. It is what it is, just don't expect anything close to fine dining.

I have been coming to this cafe since working on a building site in the City of London over ten years ago. The same guys have been running it since then, and not only are they always friendly, but they remember you. In a world of chains and prepackaged sandwich shops, coming here is like going to see a friend. Portions are large; the homemade hot food is great, but my favourite is the mexican chicken toasted ciabatta. Nestled alongside Petticoat Lane Market there is some outside seating for people watching or getting some sun. Easy to miss, but worth seeking out.

Been using this cafe for the past 14 years for breakfast when visiting Petticoat Lane. Menu has a large selection of choices and my meals have always been nicely cooked. Consider prices to be great value considering its in London

I went to the till to pay the owner and he overcharged me. I went through what I ordered and he unapologetically reduced the price. I then paid and he short-changed me. I pointed it out and the correct change was immediately given, stony faced and without an apology. I will not be returning. If you visit this café check what you are being charged and the change that you are given.

I want to give a big thank you to the kind gentleman who allowed me to come back the next day and pay for my espresso. I didn't realize they didn't accept credit cards until after I had already received the drink. The espresso was fantastic, and I truly appreciated the trust you showed me.
