Al's Delicatessen - City of New York

Just got an egg white sandwich with a posted price of $6.25. She charged me $8. I asked why and she screamed in my face that after 11am its a dollar more. The sandwich was bland to boot. Don't scream in my face.

Ruben was less than mediocre, the corned beef was simple flavorless lunchmeat and not much it.The service was terrible, with the workers ignoring customers while speaking amongst themselves and with their friends. The cashier was a smart aleck.They have forgotten what Al's standards were in 1976. I will NEVER go back and you shouldn't even go!

Tried to grab a bagel around the corner at two places and the lines were soooo long and at least one was $7.95 for a bagel and cream cheese. Skip that! Go around the corner here to Al's where I got one under $4 and it was delicious. Didn't love my espresso, but whatever. Nothing fancy here but yummy and the price was right.

I've had a few breakfast sandwiches from here before. Today I ordered an everything bagel with veggie cream cheese and it was NOT what New York is about!! So little cream cheese and the bagel wasn't fresh for $5 this is a rip off!! The service is fast and they are quick to take care of the morning rush but for the price of the bagels they should be a better quality!Go down the block where there are a couple of other bagel spots that have fresh and authentic bagels from NYC
