Waterfalls -catarata (nauyaca)

Incredible waterfalls, has several levels and a place to swim on the ground. I recommend you take the Jeep ride unless you want to walk for about an hour. Bring water and food when you decide to make it a whole day.

This waterfall was amazing. My favorite thing I don't have this trip. Don't pay them to drive you there. Just take the hike if you can run a few miles. The terrain is not bad and is very feasible for most people. Once in autumn you can play in the water and it is very refreshing. I could have stayed here all day. The falls are stunning, the local nickname is little Niagara Falls.

Big day trip... It's not because of cardiac arrest, 1 hour up, 1 hour down. Play time at the falls worth it! Horseback is an option if you book before and view 745.

We made the riding tour through Don Lulo to the waterfall Nauyaca. We made the 8:00 tour. It started right away. The light breakfast was good and lunch was a great Costa Rica meal that was excellent. Saw many monkeys and 2 aras during our meals and a coat while on the horse. The horses are well maintained and very quiet. Had about an hour to swim in the waterfall. Return to the ranch at 12:30. Very recommended.

This is the best waterfall I have been to in Costa Rica. There is a steep road to drive followed by a long 8km round trip hike. But you can hire drivers to bring you there and back for relatively cheap. Be sure to bring water.
