The atmosphere was peaceful, and the dining experience complemented the relaxing ambiance of the lodge perfectly.
To complement the breathtaking scenery, the food was quite good. The menu is small but includes ingredients sourced from their own vegetable and herb gardens. For my first meal, I had a 300g steak served with potato bread, garlic broccoli, caramelized onions, and a pepper sauce. It was a hearty, home-style dish and very flavorful. My second meal was a prawn and calamari fritto with lemon gremolata and tartare sauce, accompanied by a side salad and a generous portion of fries. Unfortunately, this dish was a bit disappointing; the prawns were overcooked, and the lemon gremolata was excessively tangy, rendering it nearly inedible. However, the calamari was excellent. For my third meal, I enjoyed a delicious and substantial piece of crispy barramundi, served with fried fennel and an orange-pistachio couscous—absolutely delightful! Finally, my last meal was a tasty rustic warm chicken salad featuring grilled carrots, baked potatoes, speck, greens, parmesan, and other ingredients. The prices were reasonable as well, making this an overall wonderful culinary experience!
The dining experience was delightful, enhanced by the stunning scenery. The menu, while not extensive, features dishes made with ingredients from their on-site vegetable and herb gardens. My second meal, the prawn and calamari frittura accompanied by lemon gremolata, tartare sauce, a side salad, and a large serving of fries, was a bit disappointing. The prawns were overcooked, and the gremolata was so sour that I found it inedible, though the calamari was quite tasty. For my third meal, I enjoyed a delicious and substantial piece of crispy-skinned salmon served with poached fennel and orange and pistachio couscous, which I loved! Finally, I had a warm rustic chicken salad that featured grilled potatoes, baked onions, bacon, lettuce, parmesan, and a tasty aioli. The prices were also reasonable, making overall this a lovely dining experience!
