This place is amazing! It was so cool to have a nice dinner in a unique antique booth setting. The food was delicious. Filet was perfect, the fried okra wasn’t battered but still had a nice crisp, and the desert was to die for. The key lime pie is the owner’s grandmother’s recipe and I’ll be dreaming about the bourbon pecan cobbler with ice cream whenever I have a sweet tooth. Would def recommend for a nice family outing.
While enroute from Austin to Meridian via Highway 6, we decided to try the Sunday Brunch. First visit and Five Stars in every category.
Was very disappointed. Had the crabcakes, tasted like something frozen out of a bag. Had no zip or flavor what so ever. I spent a lot of money, food was cold when it came. Never got our glasses refilled. I see from past reviews only 4-5 stars get any response, but maybe I can help someone else.
Staff friendly but not knowledgeable about wine and food pairing, lamb chops were very fatty and rare, fingerling potatoes extremely salty. Mentioned to the chef. Salmon appetizer was wonderful. Filet was tender, however, could have used a bit more char seasoning. Good wine selection. Relaxing atmosphere in the back of an antique emporium.
