After searching for a spot for a late dinner, we stumbled upon a unique restaurant in the College Park area. This Japanese bar within a Korean restaurant named KangnamBBQ offers a variety of Korean dishes as well as the Japanese ramen we were craving. Despite initially planning on trying the ramen, I ended up ordering the bibimbap while my husband opted for the bibimbap in a hot stone container. Our kids went for the S1 Tonkotsu Straight Noodle and S2 (black garlic oil) ramens, both of which they thoroughly enjoyed thanks to the flavorful soup base. While my bibimbap was filled with a mix of ingredients, the hot stone version proved to be the preferred choice for those seeking a steamy dish. The portions were generous and the prices were very reasonable, prompting us to consider returning on our next visit to the area.
The gyoza had a paper-thin dough and the ramen was warm and full of flavor. The atmosphere was pleasant and the seating was comfortable. We also tried the spicy pork, which was absolutely delicious. You should definitely visit this restaurant. Just go for it.
The ramen at this restaurant is quite good, with strong and bold flavors. The spicy miso ramen has a nice kick to it. The Korean Fried Chicken is both crispy and saucy, making for a delicious dish.
