Came for the cashier. You were so sweet. I offered water while I was waiting. Super clean and the place smells so good. The food itself is so good. Very fresh and tasteful. Not expensive!! Will definitely come back for a sit down menu.
Too good for words... came all the way back from NEPA to have neighborhood sushi and as always never a disappointment. 6 different rolls perfectly paired beer and glass. Salad and mix soup a home trip and came to Tripping balls in Tompkins Square Park all day...
No authentic Japanese restaurant. I ordered her gyudon and the rice was soaked in sauce, almost soup. And there are Brokolli, carrots and other things not on the original gudon. And the beef is flat stripes. Pls make authentic Japanese food.
Was looking for a new place to try out in this part of town and stumbled upon this Japanese restaurant. Thought I got lost since the restaurant was somewhat located next to a strip of stores and across the street from a mall. The service is good. They refilled my cup of tea without me asking for a refill, but I must say the food is just mediocre. The pork strips in the tonkatsu was hard to chew even though the cutlet was thin. The shrimp in the shrimp tempura maki was non-existent. I was eating rice with seaweed and tempura crunch. The beef in the beef teriyaki was quite thick as well resulting in the necessity of using a knife to cut the beef into smaller pieces. The shrimp tempura appetizer came with a hot soup for dipping, which was nice. It made eating the shrimp tempura manageable instead of biting into oil as one may experience sometimes. Overall, I would skip this place as there are other Japanese restaurants that are better in my opinion, but if you?re looking for a quick bite to eat in the area, it?ll satisfy your hunger.
