Contribuisci feedbackTruthfully, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect having read some of the online reviews … however, based on my very recent 2-night stay – this Hampton Inn was most impressive! Attractive, well-maintained property (inside and out : my king room was immaculate (and OH! that comfy Hilton/Hampton bed and pillows! Staff was friendly and attentive. Breakfast was one of the best I’ve experienced – and they even offer extended hours. Based on my recent stay I highly recommend this property!
The staff greeted us warmly. Our rooms were clean, comfortable, and quiet. The breakfast was good. We enjoyed the oatmeal, scrambled eggs, and fresh oranges. The breakfast area staff was quick to help as needed.
Room smelled terrible. Floors and bathroom were filthy. Bad mattresses and terrible complimentary breakfast. Egg was dry and rubbery. Filthy dining area. Do not stay at this place. Lots of other choices.
This is an extremely abbreviated synopsis of issue. It was late upon arriving to my room the evening of check-in (used electronic digital check in) only to discover that my bathroom was dirty (shower was nasty toilet rim had fecal matter). The following morning I went down to front desk clerk and asked to have my bathroom cleaned. I was leaving out early that morning for business and wanted to make them aware of situation. I return later that same evening to discover that room service never arrived and cleaned bathroom during my two night. Again, went down stairs upon my return to hotel (house keeping had left for the day) and voice my displeasure regarding how such was handled. The front clerk on duty that evening understood my annoyance and told me the General Manger of property would be on site the next morning and she would make a notation that I desired to speak with him. The next morning as I am checking out I asked to speak to General Manager of the property........I was told by extremely rude clerk on duty (who wasn't wearing a name tag and refused to identify herself) that I needed to call corporate. I will not get into all the details of such (as you would be alarmed of the specifics) but the bottom line is the General Manager of this property refused to talk with me. According to a follow up conversation with a Corporate Guest Relations Specialist, this GM was fined for not reaching out to me within the (3) day mandated time frame once my complaint and case was opened. Even after calling Corporate, he (as of this writing) has refused to discuss. So, my advice is to stay clear of this property.
Pretty decent hotel in a safe area. Close to the interstate and right beside of a fast food place and a steakhouse. Front desk staff was helpful and nice. Easy check-in and check-out. Plenty of parking. Only thing preventing a perfect stay was that the room smelled musty and the AC could have worked better. The bathroom showed some mild wear. Overall, a good hotel that’s a 15 minute or so drive from downtown StLouis
