Mack's - Columbia

This is the best burger I've ever had in the country! I ordered a double cheeseburger (and trust me, it's not small), along with fries and a large tea, all for just $7.59. The friendly service and welcoming atmosphere make the experience even better!

Where do I start? Mack's Cash Grocery (also known as Mack's Restaurant) serves the best burger in South Carolina! I discovered Mack's through a local dining guide that claimed it was voted the best burger in Columbia, and it certainly lives up to that reputation! The patties are delicious, the cheese is perfectly melted, and they use fresh ingredients—all nestled in a classic sesame seed bun. They are efficient with service, so when you walk in and head to the back to place your order, you'll likely be on your way with your meal in just five minutes. The prices are among the best I've encountered for such high-quality food; a double cheeseburger and a large drink will cost you only about $8 to $9! I also really enjoy their old-fashioned milkshakes, but unfortunately, every time I've gone recently, the shake machine has been out of order. Since the place has been around for a while, I understand that older machines can be harder to repair. Overall, Mack's truly deserves the title of the best burger in South Carolina—no doubt about it! I’d give it a 9.5/10.

Mack's feels like a nostalgic trip to a time when everything was just a little bit better. We indulged ourselves and decided to sample several items from the menu. The burger was outstanding, and it’s easy to see why it’s been voted the best in Columbia. The sausage dog was spot on—honestly, I can’t think of a single improvement for it. The onion rings were delicious as well. What’s truly remarkable is that our entire meal cost under $15, everything was freshly made and served quickly, and the staff remained friendly despite the bustling lunch crowd (the line extended outside the door).

First time visiting and I can't believe I waited so long to do it! This is by far the best burger and fries I had in Columbia. Their hamburger is how a burger should be simple and fresh ingredients You can taste the quality of the meat. The price is unbeatable. And they are fast too! I recommend Mack's to anyone looking for quick, affordable and delicious lunch. I'll come here frequently from now on.

I was treated to lunch today at Mack's: cheeseburger, fries, and unsweet tea. Very enjoyable. Appreciate they have bottles of malt vinegar on the tables for the fries. Even though the line to order stretched to the rear entrance it didn't take long as cook staff is obviously on the ball. Love it!
