The food was pretty good. If the chicken with spaghetti had not been so spicy ? , I would have enjoyed the meal more. Once my mouth was on fire, everything tasted spicy hot!! Who would have thought a chicken dish would be firey hot? Not me for sure! I came away with the acid reflux I suffer from raging!! I actually only ate a very few bites of it. I left half or more of the food on my plate since I could not enjoy it after my tongue and throat were blistered...?. The chess pie was good. I ate it later on so it did not taste spicy.The service was excellent and the dining area and restrooms were clean.The decor is very unique, quaint, interesting; and such a pleasant, calming atmosphere! The outdoor dining will be great when the weather warms a bit. Overall a pretty good experience.Maybe keep the hot spices out of the food while cooking and serve them on the side for those who want and can eat them. There are MANY people this day and time who seriously suffer from acid reflux. I take 3 meds per day and literally drink Mylanta as needed!

We asked the ladies at the property tax building where to eat and they recommended Fat Johnny's. The fried green tomatoes alone were worth coming in for! Everything was great and the staff was very friendly! We'll definitely be back!

If you are a meat and three fanatic, this place deserves many nods and claps. Had some of the most delicious fried chicken we mashed potatoes. It is set up like a buffet with someone serving the line. They have specials for the day and the day we went, they had salmon grilled slathered with in a butter sauce and parsley. If you are passing by or visiting, it's a gem of a place. The quality of the food was phenomenal but nothing beats amazing service and that's exactly what we got. Have to note the friendliness and kindness of the staff. This place has a sense of family within the staff and regulars and it added to the experience. They have an assortment of your southern sides from Mac and cheese, fried green tomatoes, fried okra and many more, so get creative and go crazy. It's located in the very charming downtown of Columbiana, so if you're thinking of a spot to eat, go straight here for good ole southern cooking.
