When we sat down at our table, they gave us a plate of beets... an interesting choice of appetizer, but I didn't hate it. They've got all the usuals here. I'd recommend sticking with burgers, sandwiches, or breakfast dishes, since those always seem to be solid. I got the corned beef sandwich and I was very happy with it! The side of coleslaw and pickles also hit the spot. I'd be more than happy to dine here again!
What I like is that you get seated quickly and the wait staff is great. Food is typical diner fare however the price tag is is far from what you'd expect in a diner. I'd like to say the price you pay is worth it, but there's nothing special about the experience that I can feel good about paying close to 50% more than any other local diner.
Still the best diner in the area. Stand by the front desk for ten minutes and you'll get a snapshot of just how many regulars this diner has, and surely it's no surprise by the level of service and number of options. They did a nice job with the recent renovation of the inside, replete with a small expansion into the parking lot and windowed garage doors that swing open on pleasant evenings so one whole side of the building can enjoy dining alfresco. The rest of this review is a love letter to beef barley, the Saturday soup du jour. Beef barley is the moon to my stars and the best soup I've ever had. When with family on Saturday's, it's our anchor meal--we come in just for the beef barley. When ladled from the bottom, a bowl has big chunks of beef with a really thick and flavorful broth. I'd only ask for (1) less onions, (2) making it a daily option (since it's better than chicken noodle), and (3) another bowl. Lots of solid options at this diner. Please bring back the wiggle cake and refresh your salad options!
This place was really good. We got seated very fast even though it's busy there's a lot of seating. In the photo I had the western omelette with whole wheat toast and home fries was very good very filling brought some food home. We also had The challah French toast with egg sausage and home fries. definitely will be coming back!
The French onion soup was beyond delicious and came out still sizzling!! So buyers beware to take your time not to burn yourself on that Oort gooey toasted cheese it was not overly salty as I find most French onion soups can be. Recommend 100%. After that I tried a Greek salad which was plentiful With feta bring on the cheese .. their homemade Greek dressing was what elevated this salad I ate every single piece of lettuce tomato cucumber and olive it was delicious. I ordered the ginger salmon with was served with roasted sweet potato and pineapple with a ginger glaze and opted to have it with rice and a mashed turnip. The rice was good and had a bit of peas and veggies in it elevating it a bit. The turnips were prepared with cinnamon to make it sweet and very reminiscent of the holidays but the best part of the meal was the salmon itself. Cooked to perfection and a very generous portion I took about half or more Home with me. Just enough to save room for Oreo cake I chose for dessert. It was very good but very sweet as your could imagine I also boxed up half of the cake as their pastries are all made in house and MASSIVE. I always saw premier diner being very busy whenever I passed by and I'm glad I took the time to see what the buzz was all about it was a step above any old diner and really packed a punch when it came to the food, taste and portion size. There was quite a few dishes in the menu that I couldn't find online so keep In mind there's more than just sandwiches and breakfast foods. Their specials were plentiful and could cater to anyone's cravings be it fish chicken pork beef pasta or classic authentic Greek. Stop by premier diner and you don't be disappointed!
