During the Covid pandemic, they were offering curbside pickup and when I called to place my order, they refused to tell me the price because they were unsure. To my surprise, when I arrived to pick up my order, each item was two dollars more than usual. This feels like price gouging, especially considering that this establishment is quite lucrative. Taking advantage of customers during tough times, when many are struggling to make ends meet, is unfair. If they continue to raise prices in this manner, they may end up closing for good.
Vincentina's is the go-to spot for a quick, hearty, and meaty lunch. They offer generous portions of delicious roasted pork shoulder on a fresh bun, with your choice of sides such as onions, mushrooms, or peppers. They also have a tasty steak sandwich alternative, though it's not quite as flavorful as the pork. In addition to the restaurant, Vincentina's also operates as a butchery and grocery store, where you can purchase lamb, beef, and pork, as well as various Italian food items like pasta, bread, oil, and vinegar. Overall, it's a highly satisfying and delicious option for the lunch crowd.
Located in an industrial park north of Toronto, this unique restaurant combines a butcher shop and grocery store. We heard rave reviews about their lunch menu, specifically their Porchetta dish, so a group of us decided to check it out. Porchetta is a traditional Italian pork dish seasoned with herbs and spices and roasted to perfection. While the sandwich was good, it didn't quite meet our expectations. The fluffy bun could have been toasted for added texture, and the Porchetta itself was a bit bland. Overall, it was an okay meal but not outstanding. It's worth noting that they do not have a liquor license, so plan accordingly.
A restaurant located within a butcher shop within a meat plant in a commercial /industrial area. Very well laid out between restaurant eating area and retail product sales area. We opted for Steak sandwiches on a long bun buns to choose from) but was...told they were out of long buns so selected round buns. The buns are freshly baked Italian bread and tasty. There was a nice amount of Steak cooked perfectly on the grill in our sandwiches and one came with onions and the other with hot peppers. The major difference here in the sandwiches as opposed to competitors is that there is NO tomato sauce or sauce of any kind in this sandwich. Great because this way you get to taste the quality of the Steak itself. VERY tasty sandwiches. Found the retail steaks, other meats etc.. to be very pricey.
This is the place to visit if you want a great sandwich at a reasonable price. It does not matter if you have the steak, porchetta, veal or any other sandwich. It is always fresh, bread is fresh and tasty. Always a good for a...quick bite. We have also ordered from them for catered items. Excellent!
