Royal Restaurant - COOMA

We always make a point to stop at this restaurant for lunch on our way to Canberra. The food is consistently delicious. On this visit, we enjoyed the fish and chips as well as the massive chicken parmigiana. Both dishes were accompanied by a tasty and fresh salad, not just a simple side of lettuce. The portion size of the parmigiana was impressive and it was incredibly flavorful, offering great value for the price. The staff at the restaurant are always friendly and attentive. Located in a quieter area of Cooma, it is easy to find parking. Whether you prefer dining indoors or outdoors, the restaurant offers a pleasant atmosphere. We have never had trouble finding a table as it is not usually crowded. The menu includes a variety of classic pub dishes to choose from.

I had a wonderful experience at this charming neighborhood pub. The bar staff and locals were extremely friendly, creating a great atmosphere. I especially enjoyed the sayings posted around the bar. However, I was a bit disappointed with the food. Three of us ordered the steak pie, which was overly peppered and the meat seemed off. On the other hand, one member of our group had the steak and thought it was delicious.

In simple terms, this restaurant serves the best chicken schnitzel I have ever had. Four out of five of us ordered the schnitzel, while the fifth person tried a burger with a juicy homemade patty and delicious toppings. The gravy, pepper gravy, and garlic prawn toppings were all fantastic. I highly recommend this restaurant, it was delicious!

Came here on a whim whilst staying in cooma for a snow trip. Boy was I supra see! A nondescript locals pub, that had amazing pub meals, great quiet atmosphere and the bar people's (including chef!! are all extremely welcoming, genuine and happy to have a chat. I come to the snow a few times a season and must say that this will now be my place of choice for meals and a drink. Haven't stayed in the accommodation but will be trying it out for sure next trip!!! A

Great steak and welcoming staff. Kitchen closed 8.30 on Saturday evening so we missed out on dessert. The TV in dining room showing children's videos was annoying. However, it is a good Aussie pub experience.
