Delicious! The menu includes cheeses and desserts. One of the best value for money dinner I had in years. There is a long wine list where you can find bottles at very reasonable prices. The restaurant is set in an old farm house with a splendid decoration, typical of Haute Savoie.Well worth a visit!
Tonight we went here for our 8th visit. We normally go here when we have guests over that want a french dining experience which doesn't consist wholly of cheese. We originally went here to meet some friends and we were convinced the satnav had gone wrong as we drove past an orchard to seemingly the middle of nowhere but we found this gem and it was definitely worth the drive! there are several menus ranging from €17-37 and there is something for everyone. all the menus are 4 courses and the mains are served with sesonal vegetables and amazing potato gratin. The cheese board is great and included in all the menus as is starter and dessert. My friend is vegan and she had plenty of choice, as did my vegetarian grandmother and my very picky relative. make sure you are hungry when you go and that you don't fill up on the delightful fresh bread at the beginning. My favourite is the Lamb or the special of the day ( normally there is a fish and a meat) tonight was seabass with a delicate basil mousse and tomatoes. Go, visit, you will not be disappointed! Its amazing and in full sun from midday till 4pm and the outdoor seating is fab and theres a great kids area. Tonight we were 3 adults and we had 4 kirs, 2 beers and a bottle of one of their expensive special white wines ( which was still only €22} as well as some soft drinks and digestives. 3 full menus, of which two were the specials and the night cost us 4 hours and €130!
I can't get enough of this place. I used to come only when they had their dinners every 3, 4 months. This was the 1st time i went for a regular evening dinner.First, the food was fantastic. The staff, superb and friendly. You just relax and get lost sitting in the courtyard having dinner.
This was an amazing restaurant. The people serving us were very nice and friendly and ready to help us with our decisions. As for the food itself, the tarte au reblochon was magnificent as well as the small salad with it. The main dish, the Bœuf braisé à l’ ancienne was excellently cooked as well as the creamy potatoes and green beans that came with it. The cheese platter tasted great as well as the yogurt freshly made. And for dessert, the tartte tatin was scrumptious. All in all, the food and the service made this dining experience a wonderful evening.
It took us a while to find it, but it was worth the trip. We stayed on the nice terrace and enjoyed the simple, but very good food. The service was fast and friendly, the prices appropriate. We can only recommend this place!
