It was a bit strange at first to have a hot dog topped with a pickle spear, tomato slices, relish, and peppers, but it was surprisingly delicious. The Chicago Dog has a nice kick of spice to it, making it really enjoyable. I could easily eat three of them. The fries are freshly cut and fried, and the homemade potato chips are also excellent. In addition to the Chicago dog, they offer a variety of other hot dog options, including one with slaw on top. The hamburger and pastrami sandwich are also delicious choices on the menu.
I had passed this restaurant before, but there was no thought. I wanted to have a burger tonight. WOW!!! The burger was like homemade. They only use fresh (non-frozen) Angus beef. It was so fresh, including the role and very good. Did the Cole swore and it was great. They only serve beer and wine (which was also good). It's very casual. Order when you board and they supply the food. But if you are looking for fresh, house-like food, this is the place. You also have a place in downtown Charlotte, which is only open for lunch. The music is a combination of jazz, old and current rock and gives some charm. Try it! It is also very reasonable. The burgers, in-laws and 2 glasses of wine cost $21 in front of the top.
This restaurant is a hidden gem. They serve delicious hot dogs with a variety of toppings at a surprisingly affordable price. The staff is always friendly and accommodating. I have yet to find a reason to remove any onions from my Chicago dog, and I am excited to try more items on their menu. I highly recommend checking this place out.
One of the best hot dogs I ever had!. If you're in Matts, you're overwhelmed by the wonderful smell of the Franks. How wonderful! That was mine, and the first time of my friend. Our order was immediately accepted by a polite older lady in the register. I have the Jumbo dog with the blows of my choice. It didn't take long to get our order. When it came to us, the hot dog was huge and just delicious looking. The Frank filled the bun and it was grilled for perfection. The skin was beautiful and crispy while the interior was hot and juicy. Their homemade chips are also great. It was so good that we begged friends at night that this must be the best hotdog place in Charlotte and they should definitely go there. We're gonna go there again and again and that's safe!
Good Chicago Style Dog but Don't Stop There. Quick place to dine in or generally in my case, grab a couple of Subs and go. The dogs are their signature dish and they are excellent and represent styles served throughout the US and not just Chicago. Generally overlooked at the other items they offer. Reubens are excellent as are all of their other offerings. Portions are very generous. Not much to offer in terms of side but I'm not there for the sides. Service has always been good but what can you say about take out.
