Went to this pub during summer with my friends. Mind you we are a group of 6 'colored ' people of different shades and ethnicities, and probably the only ones as such at the time we went. When we came in, we were completely ignored, not even a smile or a hello. It was a little bit packed so we chose a table in the corner that was seated for 5, and since there were six of us, we took a chair from the next table with full intention of explaining to the waiter when they 'd come to take our order and we were even thinking if we could request a proper table if available. Instead, one of the staff shouted at us that we cant take the chair and put it back where it belongs. We were speechless and shocked, so we left immediately and as we were leaving, the whole restaurant was staring at us and the staff were giving us the side eyes. Absolutely humiliating experience, as it was our first time in Cotswolds. It did dampen our mood until we managed to find a better and friendlier pub nearby.
One of the best Sunday lunches out I've ever had. The beef fell apart once the knife touched it. Veg was a little bit too andante, but still nice. Walkability: Close to all the shops. Food drinks: Good value. Rooms: 4 Service: 5 Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Luxury, Romantic
Old building and not much room inside.Staff friendly but service a little slow, although was busy. The starter was cold but was replaced and not charged for. Good atmosphere. Service: 4 Location: 4
The review for the pub. Central location. A bit noisy. The beer was served lukewarm. disappointing. Delicious fish and chips, a large and generous portion. The fish is slightly anemic. OK service. Service: 3 Location: 5
