The Blue Duck is no longer and is now Longview, but same owner, different menu. The atmosphere is not exactly the same and does not feel so on the market even when it comes to renovations and name changes, although prices are still on the market. There was not much of the choice for desserts and cocktails like The Blue Duck. It was my 60. Birthday 2021 and after my experience of 2020 on my birthday after moving from Melbourne and arriving on 8th December, I found the experience this year a contempt of last year. The best was, it was quiet with not much people and the weather was cool and breazy so could not enjoy the deck. The staff was good, but I thought I had at least shown a little ghost for my 60th, even a funkler on Dessert would have been nice for customer service and a little extra but not to be. A strawberry with the sparkling would have been great. Overall I enjoy my lobster boiled with garlic and butter, but served more pub style with the chips and salad. My friend had the linguine pasta with shrimps and she said that was a bit disappointing, without taste. It should have chili, but not even taste. I think I'll find somewhere else on the beach....
Food big, but the service was bad from a certain waiting staff. Long wait for juices, although to appreciate that they are freshly sown. Well flavored coffee, but the milk was not hot enough so the drink itself was lukewarm. Definitely room for improvement.
Dear ambience, unfortunately acoustically very low noise, regardless of the construction work that continues. Waiters very attentive. Menu exstentsive. Seafood Board should be changed a bit to not only contain fried fish varieties and some chips. Overall a good experience
We initially booked the balcony, but the evening was pretty chilly and the staff made it easy for us to move inside. Great sunset that evening. My wife had the lamb chops ... she loves them .... she's a Kiwi! I had the Porterhouse steak, it was cooked just right, but I think the meat quality was not great. Staff always pleasant and helpful.
