Shang Hoi House - Coventry

It was a Saturday night and my husband had worked a long 16-hour shift. We decided to order food online instead of cooking since it was getting late. I was disappointed to see that the Singapore Curry dish had fewer ingredients than usual. The Singapore Chow Mein had mostly noodles and the Special Foo Young didn't seem very special, especially considering they were nearly £7 each. To top it off, the prices were higher than what was listed on the menu. The order total was over £25, which should have included free large Prawn Crackers and Vegetarian Mini Spring Rolls, but I only received a small bag of crackers. It seemed like they didn't care because it was late.

The food at this restaurant is outstanding, piping hot, and the lemon chicken is exceptional! The service is excellent, with a polite and pleasant delivery driver. We will not be dining anywhere else.

Absolutely disgustingly inedible... The chicken wasn 't fresh it looked as if it was cooked a week ago and reheated, 3times. Same with the chips. We 're not sure what animal the ribs are from but they left a weird, vile after taste. The rice was mushy. When we phoned to complain their response was our food very good, we very busy, nothing wrong with our food . There was no offer of re-making our food, no sorry, no refund. All we are left with is dodgy tummys from what little we did eat and pretty much £30 in the bin

Since the new owners took over, my experience at this restaurant has always been pleasant. The woman at the reception is very kind when taking orders and always gives my sons a fortune cookie, which keeps them happy.

First time using Shang Hoi, must say very impressed food was delicious, big portions and delivered on time by a friendly driver. Will be using again!
