Excellent place great service last night and it was such a great evening. the personal tried to get along and the manager was as helpful as ever. I have to say that the experience was nice eating at the drinks on the spot.
Really friendly staff and mostly nice eating. the pate starter part in the festive start was so tiny for the total price. the turkey dinner was very nice and a much better part. desert was again nice a fairer part, but the Christmas pudding seemed a little stingy beautiful atmosphere, will visit again
Christmas evening 2021. meal was very grateful. but why have they placed us at the far end of the pub, one of our party was in the wheelchair. they knew how it was said during the booking. our small table was placed in a corner only for 3 instead of 4. the employees were excellent as they worked under much pressure, as the pub was far enough and a special thank you to the person who parked over 2 disabled places without badge. I think we'll go back next year. but the pub is nice with great food.
Service was absolutely perfect. The pub was nice and warm without being overly hot. However, don't order the fishcakes dish. It's a badly designed dish. Fishcakes made with fish and potatoes, served with more potatoes. The diced turnips in the fishcakes made them too slack and wet. My fianc s pork belly dish, however, was absolutely spot on. The brandy and apple based sauce was perfect for the slow braised pork. Amazing. Being sat 4ft from the disabled toilet which everyone that side of the pub used, wasn't exactly amazing realky. But that just makes me sound like a Karen!
