los chilango's - COZUMEL

This quaint restaurant is in the living room of the owner. She offers four or five daily lunch specials plus grilled chicken, breaded chicken, and fajitas until she runs out. Currently $100 pesos for the lunch specials and $110 for fajitas. Sit family style with the locals and all meals are served with a cold drink (usually tea, but sometimes fruit juice), a bowl of hot homemade soup of the day, and entrée, including rice beans. We've never been disappointed and the portions are huge. If you don't speak or read Spanish, just ask to take a peek into the kitchen and they will point out each special of the day to you.

My wife and I ate here in May 2018 as part of Carnivals's give back with a purpose excursion. It was so good that when we go back to Cozumel in 2024 we want to go back!

Excellent authentic home cooked Mexican food. We have been having lunches here for years on our trips to Cozumel. Very inexpensive and the menu changes all the time depending what the Chef wants to make

The Best we found, by far. Hidden gem. Typical Mexican authentic food. We can every day for the last week of our visit.
