Contribuisci feedbackI love this place! the decor is clean, modern and aesthetically appealing (large for instagram photos). the coffee is great, and I love her little brekky rolling (although they are on the expensive side. I also love their brownies and donuts, but I wish the donuts were more common on camps.
Anvil is a refreshing change to the monotony of the crows nest “Café scene”. a diamond in the rough, they pump good coffee and good eating in a minimalist, modern environment. they love the Arab eggs the yogurt perhaps not everyone's favorite, but the mix of caramelized bevelling, a perfectly fried egg and their seasoned makes for a special meal. 10/10 coffee is also good.
In Short: Anvil Café and Grocer joins the list of impressive cafes that have opened in Crows Nest over the past year. Great coffee with a strong menu. The Ivan was a standout dish. Love the grocery concept as well. I have been following the Anvil journey since they set up their first café at Kirribilli Wharf. At the time, I thought it could have been possibly the most beautiful café spot in the whole of Sydney. It was part whimsical, part genius, with amazing views, and small waves lapping up against the wharf as you sipped your coffee. A great 'new kid on the block ' in the heart of Crows Nest. Nice relaxed vibe, loved the coffee and choice of salads... couldn 't eat all of my very generous serving chicken, kale, quinoa, spicy almond salad, and loved the fact I could pick up a few hard-to-find ingredients, such as polenta dust and black rice. Will make room for sweets next time.
Anvil Café and Grocer has moved to a central location in Crows Nest and is a great place to enjoy breakfast, lunch or food on the go.
