The interior decor looks very nice, service was prompt and friendly, and the food (we went for brunch) was excellent! The menu was small, yet diverse without being obnoxious. Portion sizes and prices were fair. My only minor complaint is the 'cheesy potatoes ' side dish is more akin to cheesy onions, but that 's my own preference and nothing to knock the establishment over. Our server Chase went above and beyond and we will definitely be back soon!
A great spot for brunch! Build your own **** menu or a bottle of Prosecco for $15 with free juice for your mimosas, whaaaat!? Score! All of the food was amazing, including the fried green tomatoes. If you're considering this place, you should go!
The moment we walked in we were greeted by the owner who was very friendly and enthusiastic. The menu has some great dishes yet not many options for those who want a vegetarian dish. They have tasty cocktails and a few good wines. Services was very cordial and checked on every now and then. The pumpkin biscuits are very addicting. Great atmosphere. Look forward to visiting again in the future.
The biscuit they come out with are the bomb. It was crispy, flaky, warm and buttery. Made with sweet potato and drizzled with honey and maybe some butter. My lobster cake Benedict was a bit disappointing. The poached egg was slightly overcooked, so it didn't run over the cake or muffin. The lobster cake was ok. The chipotle hollandaise was tasty. The cheesy were outstanding. 3 egg omelette and Cobb salad were good as well.
Now THAT was a wonderful meal! We dropped by Tam 's Tupelo on a Wednesday evening to celebrate my father in law 's birthday. Everyone from the hostess to bartenders were welcoming and gracious. Our server, Christopher, was quite charming and I really appreciated how well versed he was with the various items on both the food and drink menu. Right off, you are brought a sweet potato biscuit that is warm, fluffy and sweet with a slightly crispy exterior and pillow soft middle that is drizzled in honey delightful! I had the Tupelo hush puppies for an appetizer, three giant 'pups that were just awesome, fried perfection salty with sausage and chicken and hint of spice and a tangy sweet remoulade sauce they made ALL your taste buds fire! I tried the gumbo and it was good but had an unexpected curried flavor. The crawfish etouffee was my entree of choice and it was perfect. You don 't find that too often outside a bayou. By now I was so stuffed I could hardly eat half of my meal , but I did save a little room to try my husband 's brisket meatloaf another huge portion of tender, meaty goodness with some tangy barbecue on top and crispy brussels on the side and my father in law 's Tupelo chicken. The gouda and pepper bacon were awesome on that dish. Seriously, all were winners and the portion sizes and pricing made it all worthwhile. Because it was my FIL 's birthday, they brought us a mason jar banana pudding on the house and, even though I was bursting at this point, we ate quite a bit because who can resist a delicious banana and whipped cream concoction?! The bar is well stocked here with top shelf liquor and good wine. I loved my blood orange bourbon sour made with Rittenhouse rye and my Georgia peach smash with Elijah Craig and real peaches. My husband was the real winner of the night though. Tam 's Tupelo carries his old favorite, Blanton 's, as well as Pappy Van Winkle. If you love bourbon that should make you take note. Since it was a special occasion, hubs had his first glass of 10 year Pappy, neat, and it made his night. We appreciated the attention staff paid to the presentation of the Pappy too. It made the experience that much more memorable. So, THAT was a wonderful night, start to finish. There are several other menu items I really want to try now. I am sure we will be back for another memorable meal in the future.
