No, we just came back from SoCal. Brazilian? Close, too expensive and unjustified for such a fast plan. Korean? hmmm.” We finally settled on Kong Tofu, a half new joint at Stevens Creek Verde/ElephantBar/Harumi's Plaza. When I entered, I noticed a mural of “E.K”, a possible old classmate from me. I thought it was pretty good. This place is much bigger than I had judged it from outside. Food: The panchan was a good change, I counted broccoli, bohnsprouts, noodles, kimchi, radishes and were quickly refilled. I ordered the beef tofu soup, which was quite good, many pieces tofu and beef inside. They do not dilute the soup I have made experiences of places. Service: Service was top notch. Not sure if rice refills additional costs (In many other places I was that they have always charged for it), but our nice Korean server lady did it for free. How nice of her. Another meter was my water (if you notice in previous reviews, I was always Guage a Restaraunt service through their water reps since I drink water like a fish) was always refilled on time. Woop Woop. Bill came to 13 with taxes and tip, very reasonable. I think this will be my place to get my Korean fix from now on.
Love this place. The owner is very attentive to your needs and will gladly make suggestions for which ones are best to get/eat. Portions are on par with price, with added bonus of being exquisitely delicious. Gotta try out their seafood pancakes and some of their stews. Some of their best dishes there. Would also recommend getting there early to void the dinner/lunch rushes. They can get packed quickly. Definitely go for outside sitting as well when weather is great.
Random choice for us?turned out quite pleasant, very tasty dishes, and friendly service.
Always great korean food spot! I love this plaza since hui lau shan and tiger sugar are close by too. Whenever I come here I always get sundubu. It's super delicious. I love almost everything they make but their sundubu, bibimbap, and green onion pancake is super good!
Nice staffs and quick service! Love the beef short ribs. We also got the beef and veggie soup with glass noodles. Lots of bonchon choices. Will come again!
