The restaurant is quite small, with only a few tables and some bar seating, so be prepared for a wait. There are a few outdoor tables available if the weather is nice. The service was excellent and the food was even better. My wife ordered the chicken fried steak, while I had the veggie omelet with chorizo (which made it less of a veggie dish!). My son went for the chocolate chip pancakes. The omelet was incredibly delicious, and I couldn’t resist the homemade biscuit served with strawberry-jalapeño jelly... YUM! I enjoy exploring different breakfast spots, but I’m certain I’ll be back to this one!
I was thrilled to discover this charming café in The Falls! The atmosphere was perfectly laid-back in all the right ways. With stunning views of downtown and plenty of sunlight streaming through the large windows, plus delightful vintage decor and delicious food, it’s the ideal spot for brunch! A helpful tip: visit on Wednesdays for fresh croissants from Summit Croissants! For more food pics, check out my food Instagram @pack_the_plate!
This charming little diner has a fantastic location and a cozy atmosphere filled with plants and interesting decor. I really enjoyed the ambiance. The food was excellent, and I can confidently say they serve the best fried green tomatoes I've ever tasted. My only slight issues were that the dining area is quite small, so you might have to wait for a table, and it was a bit warm inside on a hot day. However, these are just minor complaints, and I believe it's absolutely worth it!
I had breakfast at this cozy spot today, May 11, 2022. The restaurant is quite small, making it more suitable for a couple or small group rather than a large party. The staff were incredibly friendly and provided excellent service. I ordered the tomato pesto provolone omelette, which was flavorful and a nice change for me. It was served with hash browns and the option of toast, muffin, or biscuit, and I chose the homemade biscuit—it was soft and delicious. My wife had French toast with bacon; the bacon was crispy and tasty, and the French toast was impressive as well. My mother-in-law ordered ham and eggs; the ham looked great, but she wouldn't share! If I had one minor complaint, it would be that the potatoes could have been cooked a little longer, but they were still good enough that I finished every bite. I also tried the ginger turmeric tea, and wow, it really packs a punch! I would definitely come back; the atmosphere was friendly, the service was quick, and the food was delightful.
I love the charming, nostalgic atmosphere I experience every time I dine here. This time, however, the food was only "okay." I ordered a breakfast quesadilla along with a side of sausage gravy. I've tried the gravy before and it was excellent, with great texture, consistency, and color. Today, though, the gravy was runny, had a yellowish hue, and while the taste was decent, it fell short of great. Our server was adequate, though not particularly friendly. Regardless, I’ll continue to return here because it holds a special nostalgic place for me.
