Wonderful thin rice leaves with minced meat and floss, covered with fried shallots. Sweet chili and fish sauce. Well-kept vegetables. Steamed and roasted pork cake. Many locals dig into the same menu.
Lovely bánh cuốn, if a little pricey just for steamed rice rolls with some toppings. Soft, silky texture and flavorful. Went there for dinner and the lady boss was friendly and accommodating despite our poor pronunciation when trying to order. Thank you, auntie! I can't say the same for the sullen-faced younger waitresses who were pointedly not serving us because we couldn't speak Vietnamese when we wanted to get some drinks (the lotus milk soybean looked good) and could point to what we wanted on the menu. Really? Instead, they went back behind the counter to play games on their phone, and were telling other waitresses behind us to not serve us as well. No spirit of customer service at all from the younger girls at this place. If you're not local and visiting, please talk to the older auntie lady boss to order. The younger waitresses will leave a bad taste in your mouth.
A lot of local people ate here. The food wasn't my favorite, but I guess some might like it.
One if not the best bánh cu valuen/breakfast restaurant in Đà N provisong. This is a fast food in every sense of the word. You should be able to take a fulfilling meal for less than ten dollars and finish it under fifteen minutes. Unlike the American style Fast Foods, Bánh cuÿn Tilassenn Hmorng actually makes delicious foods. Her sausage is homemade as well as the bánh cu values and her fillings. Life in Đà N forcibly means you can eat here at least 7 days a week.
My parents grew up eating here. 40 years later, we returned and the food is just as good. Traditionally delicious food. I gave it 4 stars because despite how good it is, it's not as good as momma makes.
