We used to come to this location twice a week. Haven't been here for over a year. Based on the lack of service. It's Saturday night and thought let's try...
Do not dine here. Way over priced. No ambience. Just took my wife here for a birthday diner. My prime rib and entire diner was cold. Had to return primer...
Chart House is an amazing restaurant, been to the one in Newport Beach numerous times and always had amazing food and service. Chart House Dana point on the other hand fell short compared to Newport. The food was good but you?d think for a $40 to $50plate of food you might get the entree with 2 sides. When our plates arrived the presentation was terrible, I mean they couldhave at least used smaller plates to make it look a little better. We had a reservation for a birthday and surprise to us ourbirthday girl had her name on the menu which was awesome! The only other downfall was that we arrived about 10 to 6pm for our6pm reservation waited about 15 min to be seated and didn?t get out of there until 8:15 so the waits were a little lengthy. Butthe view makes it all worth it. Therefore a 3 star overall for this Chart House. Thank you for a lovely evening.
We had a wonderful romantic meal here years ago and tried to recreate it (knowing that lightning rarely strikes twice). But we were thrilled that Chart House was still great maybe better. We came for happy hour highly recommended and stayed fordinner and a stunning sunset. Any seafood is a good choice and their wine list is interesting. Try to sit out on the patio. Welove this place. Too bad we live thousands of miles away.
