Moor At 13 - Dartmouth

We have previously enjoyed breakfast at Alf Resco in Dartmouth, but this time we wanted a change and a more relaxed experience. We had an incredibly tasty brunch at this restaurant, opting for the sailor's breakfast which included high-quality sausages and bacon. As a coffee connoisseur, I was impressed with the perfect flat white served here. The owner, Lottie, was very welcoming and even our dog was made to feel at home with a bed and water provided. We will definitely be returning next time we visit town!

This review might come across a little unfair but people need to know so they aren’t disappointed. I had planned to take my wife here for a birthday breakfast. Unfortunately they don’t serve food on Wednesdays, just coffee which isn’t mentioned anywhere here or their website. Good job it wasn’t Tuesday as it’s closed completely then. I had tried to book a table but I didn’t receive any response. Shame really as it has good reviews. Ended up going into Dartmouth instead.

We decided to pop across the river on Friday night to give Lottie’s fish and chips a try and we were not disappointed. She cooks them to order using fish caught locally in Brixham. The fish was cooked perfectly and melted on the fork. The batter was light and tasty, the chips crunchy on the outside, fluffy on the inside and the crushed peas delightful. She had also made a homemade tartar sauce that was delicious. We ate in (she also does takeaway) and her COVID precautions were first rate and despite being busy, she still had time to chat and make us feel welcome. We have already booked in again for her next Friday night fish and chips (every other Friday) and look forward to visiting for breakfast, coffee, cake and tapas !
