Mela Ethiopian Kitchen - Decatur

I love this establishment! Good ? food, great customer service, and awesome ?? vibes… Not to mention the drinks are delicious ?? definitely coming back! Thank you ??

I’m originally from Chicago but my husband moved us to Atlanta, GA in August of 2021. Last weekend was date night so my husband took me to Mela Ethiopian Kitchen. I ordered the j chicken with macaroni cheese and rice. My husband ordered the salmon with macaroni cheese and spinach. They gave me two legs and thighs, I was looking for the wings and breast, the rice was hard and the j was not spicy. My husband food was okay. I would not recommend this restaurant. I like white meat, that’s all.

Great food, hooka, friendly people and an all around good atmosphere. I highly recommended stopping by if you're in the area! I'll take some photos the next time I visit.

Would not recommend. Me and my sisters saw a tik tok about them and wanted to go try but we will never be back. Our waitress was the bartender and she didn’t even know that they had a drink menu until we showed her. The prices are extremely high and the night we went the dj couldnt figure out how to work the speakers. Then they lied about the happy hour prices they advertise once you get your bill. If you go i would look carefully over bill because they will mess your bill up .

It was a great experience until the waiter charge me for 3 drinks. Knowing I had 2 drinks SMH. I will go back but will make sure to monitor the waitress and my drinks or just pay for each drink going forward
