While this place screams shtick it also screams awesomeness. When you walk in you are immediately transported to a pirate ship complete with tvs showing underwater scenes and Finding Nemo as well as staff in striped pirate shirts. While our server was attentive and professional the wait time on food was longer than usual. It was tasty but nothing out of the ordinary. Fish fry was hot and delicious once it did arrive. Drinks are the star here. The poison menu is great and if you catch it at the right time martinis are on special. I think I tried them all and none of them failed. There 's been a for sale sign on the building for a while now so take your fastest ship out there before this gem of a place is nothing but treasure on the bottom of the ocean.

Scalleywags is a Bar/ Restaurant that has a marine theme. The place has been redone since I last stopped in . They have revamp the menu and I have to say I'm impressed! They have a wing night on Wednesdays and let me say these wings are really good. They are big meaty wings. They have so many different flavors it will make your head spin. Hard to pick which one. I've tried a few . Spicy garlic parm is my favorite. There are so many to list . Try a different one each time you visit! Love the fish fry . The fish is more like a corn meal type super crispy and the side are also very good. We had the pretzels with a cheese dip that was delicious. Definitely worth the trip to Derby .

Me and this place go way back and it was finally time to write one of these bad boys. 2 years ago we were at wing fest fishing around for some wings and Scallywags was there. I decided to try the Gator wings and the Jack apple and well that was it. We asked for a menu as this was a MUST go to. (It doesn 't hurt that I am a Pirate fan, not like Steve from the movie dodge ball I like pirates I don 't think I am one... Anyway) I have been here about 5-7 times since then as we are from Lancaster and they are located in Derby its about a 40 minute drive we we only go during the summer. This please screams AWESOME. From the moment you walk in your greeted by a swashbuckler. (Fake statue) It honestly feel like your at sea inside. Either finding Nemo or Pirates of the Caribbean are on the TVs and the restaurant side just makes you feel like your Captain Hook about to set sail on a journey through a DELICIOUS Menu! I like to try a Poison every time I 'm there. The best part of this place for me,besides the food, is the shark on the wall at the bar. its like Jaws got a whiff of the wings here and tried to stop in as hes protruding through the wall. The owner is super friendly and was there every time we have been there. I cant say enough about this place! I wish they had a closer location as we would be here way more often. Every time we go we always get an extra order of wings to take home. I would gladly choose this as my last meal before I set sea or walked the plank.

Would never go into that place ever again! The owner DB (female) disrespected me so bad to the point where she thought she could talk to me like I was below her. I was trying to explain that I what when I was waving to say hi she misinterpreted it as me trying to get service right away. So when she came over to disrespectful express herself she would not even let me explain my side. Will never ever go there again!

Something is wrong with the owner. Total phony creep. She's so rude I can't believe she's still open. Food is good and martinis. Debee needs to get out and hire bartenders and then maybe the place has a chance of surviving. Too bad she's so dumb because the place is cute an food decent. Never going back!!!
