Trattoria Toscana - Doncaster

My husband and I visited a small restaurant on Sunday, 2/7/23, and all I can say is "BELLISSIMO!" Despite being very busy, I can see why. We had made a reservation and were seated quickly. The waiters were friendly and despite there only being two of them, they were working very hard. We didn't have to wait long for our starters - I had king prawns in garlic and white wine, while my husband had breaded mozzarella in a tomato sauce. The food was beautifully presented, piping hot, and absolutely delicious. For our main courses, I had spinach and ricotta cannelloni, and my husband had beef and red wine ravioli. The sauces were exquisite, and my dish was bubbling hot, which I really enjoyed. My husband had two Peronis, and I had two Pepsis. The bill came to £39.20, another pleasant surprise. We will definitely be returning - 10 out of 10!

This used to be a fabulous little restaurant, the staff used to be attentive and friendly but sadly not any more. The staff stink of cigarettes because they stand smoking outside frequently and they act like they hate their jobs. The food is ok and it’s cheap during the week but it used to be so much better. The quality has declined and the portion size have got smaller. I visited with my family January 2024, there were a party of 5. The meals arrived and the meatballs on one meal were pink and cold in the centre so we asked to return them. The waiter took the plate of food and put it in the microwave then handed it back, I was disgusted and shocked. The pasta was ok nothing special and then to top it off they were clearing the table while some were still eating and reaching over our food to get plates it was so rude. Like I said this place was fantastic years ago but sadly not any more there are far better Italian restaurants to choose from in Doncaster.

I gave our dining experience a 3-star rating. The food was delicious, but unfortunately, one of the waiters was incredibly rude and unfriendly, making us feel like we were in a scene from Fawlty Towers. Despite this, we tried to make the best of it for our son's birthday. We have been to this restaurant several times before and the staff was always great, so I'm not sure what happened this time. We won't be returning anytime soon.

This place is amazing. We have had 2 courses and got to say the food is so so good. 11 out of 10 for you guys. Thankyou for a great meal.

Just had fantastic dinner to celebrate my wife’s birthday, fantastic menu, lovely family atmosphere. Food was superb, highly recommend, in my top 3 best restaurants in Doncaster, will be regular visitors!!!
