Pilot Travel Center - Drums

The intentions are good but this location seemed short-staffed so the parking lot is packed, you may wait a while for fuel, who knows how long for a shower, the lemonade in Subway tastes like water, the ice tea taste on the Pilot is watered down and theday I came in the pizza place was out of dough! Perhaps I stop in again and it?s everything I imagined it to be!

Besides the fact we were thankful we were in a bobtail and could back up in the space, if you park in the reserve which we were told by pilot customer service on the phone to make before 8am every day) your chances of getting tagged by those going tothe fuel isle is extremely high. There is no room for trucks to maneuver and understandably drivers are losing their minds bythe time they do reach the island because of the long lines. The place is very tiny and quite run down. I was told by staff theyare planning on more parking and reworking the reserve. BUT! We did TRY to take a shower #1) but after getting everythingready the water was still too hot to touch!! No matter what we did or direction the control was on it was extremely hot!! Thewhole room looked like a sauna, thick steam and all. We waited for it to cool off and it never would. Basically did what wecould wetting down towels and bathing, but impossible to shower. The towels are really bad here even for a truck stop. Two starsbecause the staff were nice overall.

The staff at this restaurant are incredible. They managed a rude, screaming customer with such grace and professionalism. My husband and I will definitely return in our RV the next time we have the opportunity. Plus, the tacos across the street are absolutely delicious!

This place is completely unacceptable. We've visited twice, and both times the men's room toilets were overflowing and clogged. In the women's restroom, some stalls were also clogged, while others had such hot water that you couldn't use them without worrying about potential bacteria growth. We won't be returning.

The guy at the counter was very friendly, but it was 4 AM and he was the only employee on duty. I couldn't use the shower because there was no one available to clean it, and three of the fuel lanes were also shut down. I won't be stopping here again next time I pass through.
