Fado Pub Kitchen - Dublin

The atmosphere was fantastic. We ordered the fish and chips, but they substituted the chips with truffle fries and pasta, which were absolutely delicious. We also sampled the Maryland crab dive, and even the drinks were outstanding.

This restaurant offers some of the best customer service among those in the Dublin Bridge Street District. It's very clean and spacious. My favorite dish is the Beet Hummus with vegetables, and they generously provide extra vegetables instead of pita bread. The others in my group tried the Lamb Burger and the Salmon, and everyone enjoyed their meals. The food was served quickly, and our waiter made several checks to ensure everything was to our satisfaction.

The service was friendly, but the food was bland. The potato friries/swedes were boiled and seasoned. The upgrade to the truffles was a disappointment, as the regular frits were better. The dishes were okay, but small for the prices.

It was honestly pretty good food. For an Irish pub there was an awful lot of French used in the menu. It was a bit pricey for my personal taste, but I was on company time so it was not on my dollar. The people I took with me thought it was absolutely wonderful and worth the money. They had never had goat cheese before and loved the fried goat cheese app. They have a nice beer selection. May or may not come back. It has a fast casual feel with fancy sit down prices.

It’s always a delight to visit Dublin and indulge in some excellent food along with fantastic entertainment on Thursdays. The dining experience here is a bit more refined than the pub food in Easton. I’ve been fortunate to have Ellis as my server numerous times, both by chance and by choice, and he consistently provides outstanding service. If you appreciate live music, this is definitely a great spot to check out on Thursdays.
