I enjoyed some Indian restaurants in the triangle, but they all have to be compared with sitar so they can make the class. I put the bar in sitar, which is a good name in my book. I would say sitar always allows me to explore new dishes and set new standards. my suggestion: test them sitar and make them a list of what they want. then try the same dishes in other restaurants. who wins! for me it is in almost every case sitar for the victor.
I love Indian food and have been wanting to try this place for the longest! My friend recently treated me to dinner here, and I loved it! He got food from their buffet, which I didn't feel comfortable with given that we're still in a pandemic so I opted to order from the menu. I've also never really been fond of buffets. I ordered the fish malabar, which was SPECTACULAR! It was a lot of food so I only ate half of it and finished the rest the next day for lunch. They have many options to choose from, and you can always stick with what they have at the buffet. My friend really liked it. This is the perfect place for a date night or to enjoy quality time with friends. They have ample parking, a nice view from the window where we sat, and they sometimes have live music, which we will likely go back for. The staff were kind, and their food is reasonably-priced. This is the best Indian food I've had in the Triangle area so I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND you try it!
A nice buffet. Food and service was great. The tables so clean, every time a person leaves the restaurant they clean the table. They use distancing protocols. Has a nice area outside, perfect if you want fresh air.
The luncheon buffet was delicious and their quality is remarkable. The management staff were most accommodating quite lovely. Sitar has now become a favorite. They also have a lovely cocktail area.
The people are very kind and if you've never been before they will guide you in what you can eat and explain everything for you..as for myself I let them pick the style of the meats I chose for me and my daughter, and it was delicious. First impression was a great one. Loved the food flavors and color's. And the kindness of the people waitress and Manger that helped me choose what to eat. All in all I would definitely recommend this place. And buffet is on weekends. I believe Friday Saturday and Sunday better prices during that time.
