The staff was friendly and smiling all around. We live in East Boise, but we'll be back safely. Thanks Rob and Kelly
For over a year. The dishes and drinks (try your special whisky! Hands down are one of the best places in the eagle. If you're at the fence, jump the fence and go to grit! Spicy Nashville is one of my many options. Burgers are one of the best in Boise and definitely eagles.
Some friends in this quiet and cozy restaurant for the first time on Saturday night. After a short five-minute waiting period, sitting drinks were served immediately. I also enjoyed the NY Strip beef Stroganoff with mushrooms. Very recommended; I'll be back there soon.
I went for the first time today for dining and had a wonderful experience. I originally went because I saw other users share photos here from their Nashville Hot Chicken; but found that the menu does not have it available. When I asked, then I heard the history of the restaurant: owner fell on some hard times, decides to sell the place, and kitchen staff goes out and takes all recipes of the old menu. The new owners tried to get in touch with valuable employees who had the recipes but filled with silence or resistance. While I was unable to get what I came for: the whole menu sounded so attractive; I had a hard time to decide between three sandwiches I wanted to try. I got the Crispy Chicken Bacon Ranch Sandwich after our wonderful server recommended it. After starting with some Chicken Taquitos, which had excellent taste and texture, I first tried the frits: which were seasoned well, and had a nice crispy outside and fluffy inside. They were some of the best pommes I had recently. Then I went to the sandwich: that was incredible. The chicken patty was baked and evenly seasoned and crispy, the bacon was additionally crispy and had a great taste. The ranch sauce on it was a good accompaniment to the sandwich, and tasted homemade. My only regret was not to eat the sandwich before my fries; for my lower bungalow was so cheerful from me until my pommes were happy before I decided to take my first bite. This is my own fault, so no complaints. Besides the food: the restaurant has a great atmosphere; and feels both modern and rustic. If you haven't had any Greek coffee, I recommend trying. I got her crook that has Greek coffee in it, and the coffee used was so tasteful that there would be no extra mix-ins like you would expect to have in a fraction when you went to Starbucks. I want to return to Grit to try more menu items, and to get my fix on Greek coffee. I hope more people visit this wonderful place.
Good local find for lunch we were there on a Friday and wasn't crowded at all. Food and service were excellent! Their clam chowder is really good! Sometimes a bit hesitant to write really good reviews as then a fav spot can become too crowded but on the other hand, promoting local businesses is so important for their revenue!
